"Cupid's Arrow"
It's February.....it's a time for love and roses and chocolates. You know.....because it's going to be Valentine's Day soon?! Well, The Lollipop Girls and I know something you all don't know. Cupid had an accident and love is being delayed.
We couldn't forget about those that will spend the holiday alone this year because of this. So, our first challenge for February will be based around "Cupid's Arrow" to represent all the single ladies that need cupid to hit someone in the butt soon. ;-)
The Lollipop Girls and I are hoping for a fast recovery from his accident and have already started finding some of the arrows he's lost.
KitKat found a few arrows by Colorbok.
In
Lemon Zinger's quest to discover if chocolate is better than a man she found 2 arrow's. One in cupid's hand on the Pink Paislee die-cut and the word "arrow" in the wording around it.
Chocolate Pretzel has been on a mission and she's found lots of cupid's arrows by Sassafras Lass!
Pink Tootsie found a Tim Holtz Grungeboard arrow.
Lemon Drop didn't luck out in her search. She only found a tip of an arrow (in the beginning of her title).
Peppermint Swirl ended up finding a monstrosity collection of arrows by Sassafras Lass.
Now think of all the single ladies out there who need your help and start your search for those arrows. Just use an ARROW in some way on your creation. Remember, it doesn't have to be a layout....any creation will do.
You have until Valentine's Day which is Sunday, February 14 to link up your creations to Mister Linky.
Our February Sponsor is
Generations Crafting. They are a small family owned and operated company and they are dedicated to offering a great selection of the newest scrapbooking and paper-crafting supplies at reasonable prices. Check them out!
Generations Crafting supplied us with some beautiful patterned papers by Glitz as well as a Blackboard Flirt Album by Cosmo Cricket for the Blog Candy this month. C.S.D. threw in the chipboard alpha's by K&Co., the felt borders by Anna Griffin, the self-adhesive rhinestones by Kaiser and 2 dozen blooms. What's Valentine's Day without flowers? ;-) I'm sure you could find lots to do with this stuff if you win it. *The photo incl. 2 sets of the double-sided pp to show you both sides. However, you will only be receiving 1 set.
For a chance at winning this Blog Candy you DO NOT have to participate in the challenge. All you have to do to enter for your chance to win is answer this simple question in the comments area of this post:
"What are your plans for Valentine's Day this year?"
p.s. If we hit 300 Sweethearts (Followers) by Valentine's Day I will pick someone at random (from the comments section on this posting) and send them another kit that was donated by Generations Crafting which includes: 10 patterned papers, cardstock stickers, rub-ons, precious petals, ribbons, bodacious brads and a purse board book all by Bo Bunny. So go spread the news about Candy Shoppe Designs!!!

A nother great challenge and fab candy! valentines day? Hmmmm. Probably the usual, sat in front of the telly. I was hoping to do something but the partner who is not my husband is working. :(
OOOhhh, such a yummy RAK!! for me, valentine's day is spending time with family. It is coincidence this year that it falls with chinese new year so it is a holiday! So, we might go out and later me n hubby will have a romantic dinner at somewhere nice.. :)))
Me and hubby will go out for a nice romantic dinner or cook something together at home. Love your blog and thanks for the opportunity to win such a stunning RAK
Very nice LO's ladies! Love it, thanks for the inspiration! Valentines Day is a family affair for us, with three little ones we only get time after they go to bed. So some family chocolates, and maybe a chick flick after dark!
Amazingly this year, my hubby has made secret plans. This is a huge deal since last year and the year before, he didn't and we drove around all night trying to find a place to have dinner!!! Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday, so I am overjoyed he has finally realized this and did something to honor it.
We don't make too big a deal over Valentine's Day - everyday is special for us ... wink ...
But I am making some Valentine's Coupons for my other half ... like ... I will rake (ONCE ONLY) after he has mown the lawn ... and ... I will make his favourite dinner ONE night a week ...
Awesome RAK - THANK YOU!!
TracY G
P.S. Love what the Designer's have created for V-Day ... special shout out to Pink Tootsie ...
Love, Tracy G
Sad to say we don't celebrate valentine's day... hubby says it's toooooo commercialised! (and way too expensive!).... so I just tend to by a chocy for his lunch box! This year though I will be making up 50+ kits of valentines cards for a school sale... so does that count as plans?
I only started scrapping this year. I have just found this blog so I thought I would enter my scrap page for this challenge. there is some great inspiration on here and some lovely work from the DT.
Shirley
Some gorgeous work from the DT:) WTG ladies! Valentine's day will come and go.....
Beautiful work! No major plans for V-Day -- our 12th anniversary is 10 days later, so we usually go to dinner on the weekend in between.
For Valentines day we will probly go to our daughters school party..and then later that night drop kiddos at grandmas house and go for dinner and a movie :) Thanx Lynette for leading me this way great inspiration here..I wanna play :)
We ALWAYS have a super dinner at home (as it's too crowded in restaurants on V-Day) with friends. Lots of Red wine and we play cards. Clowning around together after 47 years of marriage is GREAT!
Love the pages with arrows -- soooo creative, girls! Enjoy this blog and appreciate the opportunity to perhaps Win!!!!
Don't you just love all of those arrows! Fabulous layouts, ladies! Happy Valentine's Day to all!
Awesome blog ladies! Having so much fun playing with my second challenge :):) xx
This year for Valentine's we'll likely be hanging out at home. OUr anniversary is two days after valentines so we don't typically celebrate valentines, but we definitely celebrate our anniversary! We'll be going out for a nice Greek dinner and then out to a show or skating or something fun!
Wow, you ladies sure do have some amazing Valentine Day plans! I hope you all have a blast celebrating the day of love with those you love most!
Love the DT LO's - all these arrows are fun!
Lovin' all the projects! I'll have to try to squeeze some time in to play in this challenge.
My plans for Valentine's Day are making a yummy home-made family breakfast for my hubby and kiddos and then a nice fancy dinner with hubby later on in the evening.
Great LOs, ladies! I hope to play!
ON Valentine's day--I will probably just spend it at home with DH--maybe snuggling and watching a movie--since it is the day before work again! ;( WE like to keep it lowkey.
Since my birthday is Feb 11th, we usually combine the two holidays and go out for dinner. Maybe a couple's massage too! Thanks for the chance to win these goodies!
I plan on staying home and scrapbooking. Way to much trouble to find a sitter for allof my kids to go out and do anything. BORING..I know but I am getting old. :-)
Nice blog candy!!! For valentine's, it is a tradition to go out with my sister and her husband, along with my husband of course! We are going to a nice restaurant where we always create great memories.
Oooh V day. I hate it.
I don't have plans... yet. All I know about the day is that I am off work & so is the boy I'm dating so he better have plans to spend it with me!
I'm still on the hunt for arrows, so for the time being: My Valentine's Day plans involve WORKING! Every February there is a trade show that I have to attend for work and this year it starts on Valentine's Day. BOOO!!!!
My husband is taking me to see Phantom in Vegas!
This valentine's day, the girls, my dh & I are actually going to dinner at my parents house. Postivie note, we are leaving the girls there for a "sleepover" & dh & I are going to do dinner on Monday night.
great v~day challenge lynette!
I made a layout and put it in the link spot! I also posted on my blog about the challenge. and now to answer your question... my valentines day plans are to have a wonderful fabulous day with valdo. valentines day is also our 5 year anniversary. this year has been rough as we were separated by extenuating circumstances a lot this year. so Its extra special to have him here with me and have everything ok now! I had fun with this challenge and took a cue from you lynette to combine with more challenges! woohoo! and I love that heart chipboard book in the prize!!!
We usually keep it pretty low key for valentines day, it's on a Sunday too which is a super busy day of the week for us. My kids love this day so I know we'll be making cookies and setting the table with our special v-day tablecloth but beyond that I'm not sure, better get in gear!
I"love" your site & all of these delicious layouts! So much inspiration! I live in DC and for Valentines day we will prob be digging ourselves out from this blizzard weve just been hit with!I am sure that there will be some fun lovey goodies in the house too:)
I can't wait to see who wins the challenge!
great challenge and perfect because I just did a lo with arrows. For Valentines day--not much planned--hehe we have 6 kids we have to attend to--lol! The best night for us just a little alone snuggle time if we can get that in---we are in the money!!
wow super excited for this challenge! good work ladies!!!
We have a baby sitter for tomorrow. So hubby and I are going to have dinner in DC.
My boyfriend is out of town for a gaming convention...boys and thier hobbies! I will be enjoying the day with my mom probably doing some shopping and crafting!
I am SO doing this challenge sometime this weekend!!
Um, honestly, no plans. We're renting a movie, getting haircuts and maybe shopping a little but that's about it.
I can't wait til our son is old enough that we can finally go on "dates" again :) LOL
Well - we were supposed to go and have dinner and see a movie (Valentines Day) But my son came down with gastro and we have had to cancel!! We never normally do anything - and with 5 kids only get out a couple times a year - but what can you do ?? !! Guessing now - he will watch telly and I will scrap !!
Happy Valentines Day - love all the pages btw !! xox
